Premium Eco Clear Heat Seal Bags have the following features:
• Certified Compostable by BPI
• Made from high quality Polylactic Acid from corn
• High Clarity
• Stronger material reduces rips and tears.
• More Pliable
• Innovative, plant-based material can vary in thickness from 1.4 Mil - 2.0 Mil, depending on production run
• FDA Approved material for direct food contact
• Static Free
• Heat Sealable
PLEASE NOTE: PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) is an excellent film for food packaging. Best used for fresh fruit and produce, baked goods, deli meats, and confections. PLA film barrier is generally too high for direct use with extended shelf life applications requiring respiration.
Products composed with a strong odor base may not be suited for PLA. Also, some water-based products may not be well-suited for PLA since the water can evaporate over time, altering the product's composition.
We recommend that all of our customers test their products in PLA bags prior to sending them to market.
